Landscaping Services for New Walls, Patios, Lawns and Sprinklers

Landscape Installation for Homes and Businesses in Northeast Georgia

Our landscaping services turn bare or worn-out ground into a yard you can use. We build retaining walls and paver patios, lay sod, spray hydroseed and put in irrigation. Every job is a new install, built from the ground up. In 2016 we stopped mowing and upkeep work to put our full focus on building.

Weather Tech Roofing is based in Elberton and has served this area since 2010. We install landscapes for homes and businesses in Athens, Watkinsville and Hartwell. Our work reaches farms, acreage and small towns all across Northeast Georgia. One local team can grade the ground and then finish the yard on top of it.

What's Included

What a Landscape Build From Weather Tech Roofing Includes

We plan the layout with you, then build it in the right order. Ground work and walls go first, then water lines, then plants and grass. Our landscaping team installs new yards and commercial grounds all over Northeast Georgia. We group plants by how much water they need, so beds are easier to care for.

How a New Landscape Comes Together on Your Property

A Yard Built in the Right Order

Building in order saves you from tearing things up later. Walls and patios go in before the lawn, so heavy work does not crush new grass. Sprinkler lines go in before sod, so no one has to trench through a finished yard.

Hardscape Installation Before Plants and Turf

Hardscape means the built parts of a yard, like walls, steps and patios. We set these first because they need digging, stone and heavy packing. Then we shape the beds and finish grade the lawn areas around them. Weather Tech Roofing is one local team for grading and landscaping.

Fall Is Prime Time for Trees and Shrubs

Trees and shrubs planted in fall grow roots through the cool months. They handle their first summer better.

Yards, Slopes and Business Grounds We Landscape

Many new home lots are left with bare, packed dirt after building. We loosen the soil, shape the beds and give the yard a finished look. Sloped yards get walls or terraces so you can use the space. Older homes often need a new patio, a fresh lawn or a sprinkler system. We also landscape grounds around storefronts and offices.

Shade, slope and drainage change what we build. A shady yard may need a shade-tolerant grass or planting beds instead of turf. A steep bank may call for hydroseed or a wall rather than sod. Wet spots get graded first, so water does not pool in new beds.

  • New home lots that need a lawn, beds and a front walk
  • Sloped backyards turned into level patio and play space
  • Lawns and beds that dry out in summer and need irrigation
  • Storefronts and office grounds that need neat, finished landscaping

Does Weather Tech Roofing do lawn mowing or landscape maintenance?

No, we focus on landscape installation and hardscapes. We stopped maintenance work in 2016 to put our time into building new yards. We build the yard, and you or a mowing service can care for it after.

When is the best time to plant trees and shrubs in Georgia?

Fall is the best time to plant most trees and shrubs in Georgia. The roots keep growing through winter, so plants are stronger when summer heat arrives.

How deep should mulch be around new plants?

Use 2 to 3 inches of mulch around new trees and shrubs. Keep it pulled back a few inches from the trunk. Mulch holds moisture in the soil and keeps weeds down.

What is the difference between hardscape and softscape?

Hardscape is the built part of a yard, like walls, patios and walkways. Softscape is the living part, like grass, trees, shrubs and flower beds. Most finished yards use some of both.

Can you design and install a whole new landscape at one time?

Yes, we can plan the layout with you and install it from start to finish. That can include walls, pavers, a new lawn and irrigation. Doing it all at once lets us build each part in the right order.
